OSMG is a series of international symposiums on Opto-electronic sensor-based monitoring in Geo-engineering hosting by Nanjing University, China, every 2-3 years. The symposium was inaugurated in 2005 and was successfully held for six sessions. Since the last event, we have witnessed many advances both in the development of sensing technologies and the applications. Aiming to showcase the latest developments and promote collaborations in geo-sensing, the organizers of OSMG would like to invite you to participate in the 7th International Symposium on Opto-electronic Sensor-based Monitoring in Geo-engineering (7th OSMG). Due to the Covid-19, 7th OSMG scheduled for 2020 has been postponed to December 2021.
The theme of 7th OSMG will be “Geo-sensing and big data”. We will invite prominent scholars and experts to give keynote speeches, sharing their latest achievements in geo-sensing technologies and the applications, the specific challenges in geo-sensing and data mining with artificial intelligence. We would like to offer an international platform for researchers and engineers to promote the geo-sensing development.
A short course on opto-electronic sensing technologies will be held. The main topic will be Optical Fiber Sensing for Geo-engineering. The course will enable the participant to have an overall view about the sensing technologies in a wide range of applications, the advances and the lacks. A specific illustration on the Technical specification for pile distributed fiber optic testing will be given. Participants can also operate equipment and facilities. Qualified participants will be granted a training certificate.
Looking forward to seeing you in Suzhou.
